Honey face masks
Honey face masks are one of the basic facial masks. Honey is available and so healthy that its use in skin care recipes has been recognized as one of the most efficient. Honey is a strong antiseptic and allows for deep cleansing of the skin. This in turn removes impurities from the pores yielding rejuvenated, soft, glowing skin. Honey also nourishes the skin so aside from its use as a skin cleanser (for oily skin) it can be used for dry skin because it adds moisture.
There are around 300 hundred different kinds of honey. When it comes to honey applied to face and body, it can be any kind available at your local food store. Of course, as in any skin care recipes, when preparing honey face recipes, you want to go with organic honey. It might be a bit pricey but so worth it. In case you can’t find it or want to go with the regular brand, that’s OK too.
Make sure you wash your face before applying a layer of this mix, you don’t want to additionally clog your pores.
