Fresh milk
If you ran out of your regular face lotion, simply use milk. Dip cotton balls in cold milk and tap the face. Your skin will feel refreshed and rejuvenated by all the proteins, vitamins and AHA that milk contains.
For irritated/sensitive skin
Get a cotton cloth and get it soaked in cold milk. Leave it on your face for about 20 minutes. Rinse off.
- For oily skin, milk rich in magnesium has a better effect as magnesium neutralizes the sebaceous (oily) gland excretions.
Yogurt based Kosher Salt Face Exfoliant
This is an easy and inexpensive way to remove the dead skin layer off your face.
Ingredients:
Kosher salt
3 teaspoons of coconut oil
Yogurt
Milk
Add salt and coconut oil until a paste forms. Put the paste on the face. Be careful not to scratch yourself, don”t press to hard. When you are done, rinse off with lukewarm water.
Mix a bit of yogurt and milk and apply to face. After exfoliating it with salt, milk will provide nourishment and softening your face needs.
Sugar and milk - body cleansing
Sometimes, this mask is called Lady Godiva, after the Anglo-Saxon patron of arts.
Ingredients:
8 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
2 tablespoons of milk
Mix until the paste becomes smooth. Apply to the body and rinse off with warm water.
Yogurt based Face Cleanser
Ingredients:
About 7oz of yogurt
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of honey
Mix, apply to face and rinse off using a washcloth.
