Milk based Hair Balm

Honey mask

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

I gave you a few honey mask recipes in honey face mask recipes but here’s another quick one.

Honey-Egg white Anti-aging Face Mask

Ingredients:
2 teaspoons of honey
1 egg white

Mix the two and apply to face. Wash off after 20-30 min, using warm and then cool water. This mask should be applied no more than twice a month.

As I mentioned, honey is a strong anti-inflammatory agent and is excellent for any skin type. Egg white here acts as a facial toner that helps firm up the skin and also as an oily skin ingredient because it does an excellent job absorbing all the extra grease.

Again, don’t prepare this mask if you know you’re allergic to eggs and make sure the ingredients are fresh.

Biotin Skin Recipe

Monday, September 1st, 2008

The following Biotin skin recipe is based on beer. So you don’t think beer is just for drinking, here’s a quick fact that pertains to skin: Beer is an excellent source of Vitamin B complex, which plays a major role in maintaining healthy skin. One of these vitamins, vitamin B7 or biotin (Biotin vitamin), is often a part of skin care products. Benefits of biotin are numerous: it nourishes the skin and strengthens nails and hair, to name a few. Biotin is good for skin, its deficiency makes skin prone to dermatitis and fungal infections. Dry skin is a possible sign of biotin deficiency.

Beer mask

Ingredients:

1 or 2 teaspoons of beer (the darker the better, as the biotin concentration is higher in dark beers) *Hubby’s Note: they are called Stouts and Porters :)
2 teaspoons of jojoba oil (moisturizes the skin)

Mix well and apply on face. Wash off after it dries. That’s it ;)
