Homemade acne mask

This homemade acne mask is actually more of a lotion as it is more liquid than regular face masks but it is highly effective. Two main ingredients here are honey and lemon juice. Honey is a strong anti-inflammatory agent known as a powerful natural cleanser. It prevents possible infections and clears up existing ones. Since the cause of acne (among other things), are clogged pores, honey helps extract the impurities from pores and lemon juice comes in to remove any excess sebaceous oil accumulated on the skin. Lemon juice might sometimes leave the skin dry and that is why there has to be another ingredient to counteract this effect, in this case honey which will prevent possible dryness and nourish the skin leaving it soft and rejuvenated.

To prepare it, you will need:

2 teaspoons of lemon juice
2 teaspoons of honey
7 oz of water

Mix the ingredients. If the mass is too thick, try adding a bit more water. Pour into previously prepared plastic bottle or jar. They have to be clean, so make sure they are washed well. Shake it. Keep in dry and dark place and apply few times a day. Wash off with water.
