Pear mask

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

Eating pear is as good for your body as it is for your skin. Pear is rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Vitamin C is essential in creation of collagen. It is a powerful antioxidant, liberating your skin of damaging influence of free radicals. Vitamin E plays a similar role. Because of these two properties, this mask can be considered as both a cleansing (disinfecting) mask as well as an anti-aging one.

Wash pear and peel. Mash it or use a food processor. Apply on the face and neck and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Honey mask

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

I gave you a few honey mask recipes in honey face mask recipes but here’s another quick one.

Honey-Egg white Anti-aging Face Mask

Ingredients:
2 teaspoons of honey
1 egg white

Mix the two and apply to face. Wash off after 20-30 min, using warm and then cool water. This mask should be applied no more than twice a month.

As I mentioned, honey is a strong anti-inflammatory agent and is excellent for any skin type. Egg white here acts as a facial toner that helps firm up the skin and also as an oily skin ingredient because it does an excellent job absorbing all the extra grease.

Again, don’t prepare this mask if you know you’re allergic to eggs and make sure the ingredients are fresh.

Coenzyme q10 skin recipe

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

Coenzyme Q10 skin products have seen a recent introduction into the beauty industry. Previously, coenzyme q10 was used in general health.

In skin care recipe, it is quite similar to Retinol or Vitamin A because it is a very small molecule that can easily get past the outer skin layer to reach the deeper layers. Coenzyme q10 is a potent antioxidant; once it reaches the deeper layers of the skin, it frees the skin from damaging free radicals. (more…)

Peach face mask

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Peach is one of those fruits that when used on the face in any form, helps make the skin soft and elastic. Peach juice can be used as a lotion, and its meat for face masks. Peach’s acidity aids in closing the dilated pores. It is best when used on normal skin type, but it can be used for other types, too. For oily skin, it is best when mixed with lemon juice. For dry skin, it is good to add olive oil into the mashed peach.

Vitamin E face mask

Friday, August 1st, 2008

Vitamin E face mask is one of those popular masks because a small capsule of this vitamin contains tons of anti oxidants. They fight the free radicals that damage and age the skin. It has healing properties so this face mask not only diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, but also helps heal and restore the skin.

Banana adds moisture to the skin and leaves the skin smooth and supple.

Heavy whipping cream is, of course, milk based. Milk is filled with anti-oxidants, that again, help the skin’s youthful appearance.
